What are Label Switched Routers

Label Switched Routers (LSRs) are a part of the MPLS family. These are the packet handling nodes. Multiprotocol Label Switched routers forward data packets with the help of MPLS labels. These Label Switched Routers help direct the packets of data to the destination. MPLS is a systematic and organized way of sending data packets from one source to another.
